Nicotine liquids age faster in heat and light. In an Erbil or Baghdad summer a bottle left on a car dashboard can darken in a single afternoon — oxidation turns the liquid darker and the taste peppery. The liquid is still usable, but the flavour you chose starts to fade.
Store bottles upright with the cap tight, in a cool dark drawer — not on the windowsill and not in the glovebox. A cupboard away from the stove works well. Refrigeration is not required and very thick liquids wick better at room temperature.
